Ben Marincowitz is an RYA Yachtmaster and SAS Yachtmaster Ocean with 15+ years of professional experience, sailing monohulls and catamarans around the Caribbean and Mediterranean seas, and across the Atlantic and Indian oceans. With 23 ocean crossings worth of experience, safety and transparency isn't just a priority... it's a habit.
A native to Cape Town, South Africa, Ben grew up surfing and sailing dinghies and keelboats around the Cape of Good Hope. There, he developed a healthy respect for the winds and seas the region is notoriously known for. He graduated to moving sailboats up and down the east coast of South Africa, and was eventually asked by an old Navy friend to start delivering newly built catamarans from Cape Town to the Caribbean and US East Coasts.
Ben has additionally run charters in the BVI and Palma, learning the finer points of customer service and professionalism, before returning to private yacht deliveries. Ben has skippered with crew of all walks and experience levels, and in 200,000nm of professional sailing, he's had no major incidents... and plans to keep it that way.
